Home Made Pizza

I decided to involve the kids for dinner one night, making home made pizza. It was such a great hit that they asked if we could do it again. We made our own pizza dough.

Pizza Crust Ingredients:
2 1/2 to 3 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 package active dry yest
3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
1 cup very warm water

Directions
Mix 1 cup of flour, the sugar, salt and yeast in large bowl. Add 3 tbsp oil and warm water. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl frequently. Stir in enough remaining flour until dough is soft and leaves sides of bowl. Place dough on lightly floured surface. Knead 5-8 minutes until dough is smooth and springy.

Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes.

Instead of making one or two large pizzas, I had the kids make their very own individual pizza. Divide the dough accordingly. Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease the cookie sheets with oil.

Pat the dough down.

Form your pizza shape.

Partially bake 7 to 8 minutes or until crust begins to brown.

Spread the pizza sauce over partially baked crusts.

Now let your kids add the toppings they want.

Bake pizzas at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until cheese is melted.

The possibilities are endless!

Here is A. loving his pizza.
